Largest winter sports area in Scandinavia
Trysil
Trysil, in the elongated Province of Hedmark in East-Norway, is among the destinations with the best certainty of snow in Europe and is the largest winter sports area in Scandinavia. Skiing, snowboarding and cross country skiing can be done there for no less than six months per year. In Trysil, Portula offers sun-drenched building plots with a view on the ski slopes. There are even plots with ‘ski-in-ski-out’ opportunity.
Trysil winter sport facilities:
- 64 slopes
- 72 km of skiing slope
- 90 km cross country skiing slopes
- 25 lifts
- A halfpipe
- Childcare everywhere
Outside the winter sport season, Trysil is an angler’s paradise. The Trysilelva has the largest stock of graylings in Scandinavia and large pike can be caught in the many lakes. In addition, this area is ideal for lovers of hiking, horse riding, canoeing, golf and wellness. Why not go on a beaver safari or husky cross!
Trysil is situated some 200 km north-east of Oslo and is excellently reachable and surrounded by ample amenities, owing to the infrastructure that was developed for the Olympic Games of 1994.
