Centrally located
Treungen
Treungen is located in the Province of Telemark, in the south of Norway. It has a moderate climate and, owing to its central position, it is an ideal base camp for outings to, for instance, the beautiful coastal town of Arendal. The area of Treungen offers all kinds of activities in the summer, as well as during winter, for instance:
- Skiing in Vrådal or Gautefall
- Water sports on the lake
- Swimming from one of the many beaches
- Cross country skiing and hiking
- Elks- or beaver safari
- Snow scooter safari or a trip with sled dogs
- Angling
- Mountain biking
- Horse riding
- Boat trip across the Nisser lake
- Playing golf in Vrådal
Treungen has all the main amenities, such as a bank, two supermarkets, restaurants, a medical clinic and a Tourist Information office. A property with own jetty is among the possibilities.
The town of Treungen is well reachable by plane, as well as by car. From Larvik, where ferries from Denmark moor, it is only 110 kilometres to Treungen. Treungen is in the vicinity of airport Torp, near the town of Sandefjord which, for instance, KLM flies to every day. Also other plane connections are possible.
