Your Challenge

As a Senior Controller, you will oversee the finances of the Dutch and Norwegian organizations. You will serve as a strategic advisor to senior management and be responsible for reliable reporting, financial management, and further professional development.

You will coordinate the finance staff in both countries and ensure consistency across accounting, processes, and internal controls. In addition, you will liaise with accountants, banks, and advisors regarding international laws and regulations and tax issues.

Together with the construction director in Norway, you will set up the project accounting system and provide insight into project results. This is an independent role with ample opportunity to make an impact within an international, entrepreneurial organization.

What are your responsibilities?

This position offers a great deal of independence, responsibility, and the opportunity to make a real impact within an international, entrepreneurial organization.

Responsible for the entire planning and control cycle.
Preparing budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
Preparing and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
Preparing management reports and financial analyses.
Monitoring liquidity, returns, and financial risks.
Coordinating the preparation of the annual financial statements and maintaining contact with accountants, banks, and investors.
Managing and overseeing the financial administration.
Work with the construction director in Norway to set up the project accounting system and further professionalize it.
Optimizing financial processes and internal controls.
Advising the executive board on financial and business management issues.
Collaborating with colleagues and external partners in the Netherlands and Norway.

Who We're Looking For

You are an experienced finance professional who looks beyond the numbers. You have strong analytical skills, work independently, and are comfortable in an international, entrepreneurial environment. You communicate clearly, interact easily with various stakeholders, and know how to present financial information persuasively.

A completed associate's or bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Economics, Accountancy, or Finance & Control.
At least five years of relevant work experience as a Financial Controller, Business Controller, or Finance Manager.
Demonstrable experience with international accounting and financial processes.
Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
Experience with international financial issues and various laws and regulations.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with various disciplines and stakeholders.
Proficiency in Dutch and English.
Commercial acumen and an interest in advising investors are a plus, especially if you're interested in extending your hours to 32 hours.

The position is initially for 24 hours per week. If you’re also interested in advising investors and have strong business acumen, then increasing your hours to 32 hours per week is negotiable.

As a Senior Controller, you’ll hold a multifaceted and independent role within our international and entrepreneurial organization. You’ll work directly with senior management and colleagues in the Netherlands and Norway.

A 24-hour-per-week position, with the possibility of expanding to 32 hours in a broader advisory and commercial role.

A salary ranging from €5,500 to €7,500 gross per month based on a 40-hour workweek, depending on knowledge and experience.
