Portula Bouw & Ontwikkeling B.V. (in short Portula), based in Apeldoorn, is an international project developer. Portula develops, builds and rents luxury vacation homes in Norway. This is done entirely in-house. Portula takes care of customers from the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and Norway during the entire building process.

With now more than 20 years of experience, Portula has an extensive portfolio of wooden vacation homes in unique locations in Norway. Portula distinguishes itself in the market by a lot of local experience, its own construction company, the use of quality Norwegian materials and a team of its own people. The head office in Apeldoorn employs a team of 9 people and in Norway a team of approximately 20 craftsmen build the homes every day. Due to strong growth and demand for vacation homes in Norway, Portula is looking for an enterprising and ultimately responsible construction supervisor.

The construction site in Vrådal: that's where you feel at home! You are the eyes and ears of our company. Building luxury vacation homes on unique locations is your passion, and you like to convey that enthusiasm to all the craftsmen you manage. You can communicate like no other and with your knowledge of construction you know how to bring the houses to a successful conclusion together with the sales supervisor. Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Technical responsibility, taking care of the various homes to be built and delivered;
  • Lead and coordinate the construction team on site, with you being the point of contact;
  • Ensure site safety, site layout and construction routing in consultation with the construction team;
  • Keep the buyers' supervisor and management informed about the progress of work by keeping annual/monthly/weekly schedules.
  • Analyzing areas for improvement while creating concrete action items, actively standardizing processes and sharing information with colleagues for other projects.

In this position, you will have the opportunity to develop yourself within a broad field of procurement, construction and project development.

For this role, it is important that you can make good construction plans, manage a team, enjoy the challenge of dealing with different cultures and take care of the high-quality delivery of the vacation homes.

Who are you?

Do you have experience working at a construction company where you were or are responsible for the construction of (new construction) homes? In addition, are you able to operate independently? Then we would like to meet you.

Job Requirements:

  • HBO work and thinking level, in an economics and/or construction field;
  • Approximately 5 years of experience in the procurement of materials and supervision of new construction homes;
  • Independent, persuasive and proactive;
  • Customer-oriented attitude and excellent contact and communication skills;
  • Able to communicate at different levels;
  • Analytical and problem-solving thinking skills, with a strong hands-on mentality;
  • A good command of the Dutch and English languages in word and writing;
