By car

The easiest car route from the Netherlands to Norway is through Germany to northern Denmark. There, several ferry services depart daily from the ports of Frederikshaven and Hirtshals to southern Norway. The shortest crossing, from Hirtshals to Kristiansand, takes only 2 hours and 15 minutes. There are three companies that operate schedules between Denmark and Norway: Colorline, Stenaline and Fjordline. If you want something different, you can also take the ferry from Kiel (Germany) to Oslo. This trip is already an experience because of all the facilities on board. There are ferries to Norway from Denmark, Germany and Sweden. Most ferry companies offer packages to transport a car with passengers. There are often discounts for seniors, students and children.

By plane

There are more than 50 airports in Norway. As a result, even remote places such as the Lofoten, the North Cape and Spitsbergen are easily accessible by plane. KLM flies three times a day to the conveniently located town of Sandefjord (Torp), and low-cost carrier Ryanair maintains good connections to both Sandefjord (Torp) and Rygge.
